Mrs. Cecilia J Robinson-Woods
Cecilia J. Robinson-Wood is in her fourth year as superintendent of Millwood Public Schools in Oklahoma City, Ok. With the goal of 100% of Millwood students graduating college and career ready, she has introduced innovative reading programs at the elementary level, iPad classrooms in 3rd and 7th grades, on campus concurrent enrollment at the high school and strengthened family and community involvement.
Ms. Robinson-Woods was raised in Oklahoma City and is a graduate of John Marshall High School. She is the wife of Mr. Gary R. Woods and the mother of two sons, Eddie (EJ) Green, Jr. age 18 and Eyan Green age 14 and the stepmother of Mikella Green and Brianna, Devin and Gary Woods (Jr.)
Ms. Robinson-Woods received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the Oklahoma State University and her M.Ed. degree from the University of Oklahoma in Education Administration and Curriculum Supervision in 1999. Ms. Robinson is currently an Ed.D student at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a degree in Education Administration and Curriculum Supervision.
Superintendent Robinson-Woods began her career in education as a teacher in Oklahoma City Public Schools in 1995 at Putnam Heights Elementary. In 1999 she relocated with her family to Hartford, Connecticut, where she served as an Assistant Elementary Principal, Sr. Coordinator for Elementary Math, Elementary Principal and Middle School Principal over a 7 year span. In 2006 Ms. Robinson was recognized by the US Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon Principal of one of the highest performing middle schools in the state of Connecticut.
Ms. Robinson-Woods served as an Associate Superintendent of School Leadership in Kansas City, Missouri from 2006-2009. In this role she oversaw Curriculum and Instruction and implemented many teaching and learning programs. She was also responsible for day to day operations of 28 schools. Under Ms. Robinson’s leadership the district also increased preschool access for over 1500 children as well as revamped the district’s preschool curriculum. From 2009-2012 she served as the Sr. Director for Early Learning at Community Action Project of Tulsa County (CAP). In this role Ms. Robinson-Woods was charged in streamlining processes, procedures and organizational structure to ensure efficiency and efficacy. Under Ms. Robinson’s leadership, CAP was recognized as one of only 20 Head Start Centers of Excellence by the department of Health and Human Services.
During Robinson-Woods’ tenure at Millwood Public Schools she has led the charge to return Millwood Public Schools to the northeast community for career tech services at Metro Technology Centers. A public vote secured a 95% approval for this move to occur. Robinson-Woods is also responsible for implementing new reading programs in the elementary school that resulted in a dramatic decrease in the number of 3rd grade students being recommended for retention according to the State’s Reading Sufficiency Act. Robinson-Woods was named the Women of Color Educator of the Year in 2015. She currently serves as a member of the State Superintendents Advisory Board, MAPS 3 Citizens Advisory Council, OKC Public School Foundation Advisory Board, OSSAA Board Member, USSA Executive Board Member, Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy Board Member and the Governor’s Oklahoma Workforce Youth Council where she works to advance issues that work to strengthen the Oklahoma City community and at Millwood. She is also a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City, Class of 33.

Orchestrated Career Tech move to return tax dollars to the local Career Tech provider
Partnered with local colleges to offer concurrent enrollment classes on campus for high school juniors and seniors
Secured $75,000 grant to totally remodel Pre-K and Kindergarten classes
Passed 2.8 million dollar bond issue to renovate and repair the elementary building and make campus improvements and upgrade textbooks, security and technology
Insured that 100% of classrooms are equipped with interactive boards
Increased access exponentially to individual learning technology through the use of iPads and laptops in classrooms
Renovated elementary library and secured partnerships to ensure that children have access to current, relevant and culturally aligned literature
Secured on going partnership with Southwestern Urban Foundation to ensure ongoing funds for reading tutoring
Secured 3-5 year partnership with Langston OKC to maximize buildings on campus, build community education partnership and to provide local access to one of Oklahoma’s most affordable colleges
Assisted the Class of 2016 in securing over 1.8 million dollars of scholarship money
Secured public and private donations to build a new baseball facility
Secured partnerships with local companies to provide tutoring and mentoring for students
Christine Harrison is the Director of Teaching and Learning for Millwood Public Schools in Oklahoma City, OK. She received her undergraduate degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, her master’s from Langston University, her administrative certification from the University of Central Oklahoma, and is pursuing a Doctorate of Education at the University of Oklahoma.
Christine is known for her strong leadership and her ability to motivate the unmotivated. She and her husband, Rev. Kenneth Harrison, have two daughters, Ebonie and Kiya, one son, Khristofer, and one granddaughter, Serenitee. Christine’s seventeen years as a classroom teacher garnered many awards, including being selected as Millwood Public Schools’ Teacher of the Year on multiple occasions. She has spent the past 15 years polishing her skills as a top-notch principal-facilitator.
Mr. A. Shannon Hayes, has served as the Technology Director for Millwood Public School District the past 15 years. Mr. Hayes is a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1991, graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University class of 1996 and graduate North-central University class of 2014. Mr. Hayes is doing a tremendous job overseeing the function of the technology operations of the district. He has provided an effective, efficient safe working and educational environment, utilizing technology equipment applications that support the administrative and educational responsibilities of the district.
In addition, Mr. Hayes serves as Athletic Director for Millwood Public Schools, making sure all athletes are academically and otherwise eligible, scheduling events, game management, and overseeing the hiring and evaluation of coaches.
